She tells everything in the first person.
When did I start?
It was the year 2015, when on August 3rd, I almost "accidentally" landed inside a Tuk Tuk, in Alfama, in the iconic city of Lisbon.
I was living an unstable and deeply chaotic moment on several levels in my life.
I had no job, I couldn't find anything that I was passionate about (I didn't even know what it would be), I had never felt professionally fulfilled in any area and worst of all, I had no money for anything!
Who am I?
My name is Cristiana Silva, I was born in April 1982, in a small village in Portugal. In Serra de Aire e Candeeiros I grew up surrounded by nature, mountains, caves and animals, which changed me forever. Beyond those mountains I dreamed of discovering the world that existed on the other side. The book I read most was the Geographical Encyclopedia, where I spent hours, days and months imagining what it would be like to visit all those countries. The world was huge and I was immensely curious.
Years later...
I graduated in Multimedia Design, don't ask me why! I actually had no idea what I wanted to do in life. But he loved arts, design and novelties. So the concept of "Multimedia" in the early 2000s seemed like a promising future to me.
I worked in this area for about 2 years, but it was painful. Everything happened with effort and nothing flowed. I wasn't happy. But believe me, I insisted on it! Until I got to a point where my body went into denial/breakdown and I developed a serious skin condition. I was forced to stop and rethink what I was doing to myself.
I left Design and began a long process of personal search.
The skin disease went away, despite all the doctors telling me that I would have to live with it for the rest of my life.
I began to realize that somehow, my Purpose and Gift were related to working with people, communicating, telling stories, helping or inspiring others. It wasn't easy. I tried several (many) different jobs throughout this journey of years. I started businesses that failed. I have been fired and fired many times.
I knew I wanted to work for myself and have my own rules. I knew I had to have fun. I knew I wanted to be in contact with different people every day and be in different places, away from a predictable routine. And I knew I wanted to tell others.
Whether you believe it or not, all of this happened to me that day, August 3, 2015, when I found myself inside a TUK TUK, acting as a tour guide and entertaining people. All the chips fell in those days that followed. My life has changed forever.
What I had wanted so much had arrived. It was finally happening.
I created my company.I now have freedom and autonomy. I fulfilled several dreams.
I love to travel.
I want to know all the countries in the world.
Today I have the privilege of being able to provide work for other people, who can be free within their individuality, also realizing their dreams.
Why the name "AVERSINI"?
In honor of my brother, I decided to name my business "AVERSINI".
Diogo is a very special person to me, my reason to progress and achieve.
As a child, while we were playing, that was the name he called me - Cristiana Aversini.
This has a deep meaning for me, being my daily motivation.
So this is my tribute to him - My Gift!
